Leo Tolstoy – 1828 – a Russian writer, best known for his epic novels “War and Peace” and “Anna Karenina”. Tolstoy was also known for his philosophical and political writings, which emphasized nonviolent resistance and the rejection of material possessions. His ideas greatly influenced figures such as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.

Colonel Harland Sanders – 1890 – an American entrepreneur and the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), one of the world’s most successful fast-food chains. After working a variety of odd jobs, he started cooking fried chicken at a gas station in Corbin, Kentucky, where he developed his signature blend of 11 herbs and spices.

Neil Hamilton – 1899 – an American actor, best known for his role as Commissioner Gordon in the television series “Batman.” Hamilton also appeared in numerous films and television shows, including “Perry Mason,” “77 Sunset Strip” and “The Untouchables.”

Sylvia Miles – 1924 – an American actress. Miles appeared in numerous films throughout her career, including “Midnight Cowboy”, “Farewell, My Lovely”, “Heat”, “The Sentinel” and “Wall Street”.

Frank Lucas – 1930 – an American drug trafficker. He was known for his extravagant lifestyle, which included luxury cars, jewelry and fur coats. Lucas’ life and criminal activities were the subject of the film “American Gangster,” in which he was portrayed by Denzel Washington.

Chaim Topol – 1935 – an Israeli actor, best known for his role as Tevye in the musical “Fiddler on the Roof”. Topol has appeared in numerous other films, including “Galileo”, “Flash Gordon” and “Left Luggage”.

Art LaFleur – 1943 – an American actor. LaFleur has appeared in over 100 film and television projects, including “Field of Dreams”, “The Santa Clause”, “Cobra”, “Major League”, “Monk” and “The X-Files”.

Robert Desiderio – 1951 – an American actor best known for his role as Ted Collier on the television series “One Life to Live”. He has also appeared in numerous other television shows, including “Knots Landing”, “The Sopranos”, “Law & Order,” “CSI: Miami” and “The West Wing.”

Tom Wopat – 1951 – an American actor best known for his role as Luke Duke on the television series “The Dukes of Hazzard”. He has also appeared in numerous other television shows, including “Cybill,” “Fantasy Island”, “Home Improvement” and “Longmire”.

Angela Cartwright – 1952 – an American actress best known for her role on the science fiction television series “Lost in Space,” in which she played the character of Penny Robinson.
