Ederle also competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, where she won three medals: a gold and two bronze.

Hayden Rorke – 1910 – an American actor, best known for his role as Dr. Alfred Bellows on the classic television sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie”. He also appeared in numerous films, including “An American in Paris”, “Project Moonbase”, “The Eternal Sea”, “When Worlds Collide” and “The Night Walker”.

James Daly – 1918 – an American actor, best known for his role as Dr. Paul Lochner on the long-running medical drama “Medical Center”. Philip Kaufman – 1936 – an American film director, screenwriter and producer. Some of his notable film credits include: “Goldstein”, “Fearless Frank”, “The Right Stuff”, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”, “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”, “Henry & June” and “Quills”.

Pele – 1940 – born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, widely regarded as one of the greatest football (soccer) players of all time. He is best known for his time with the Brazilian national team, with whom he won three FIFA World Cup titles (1958, 1962, and 1970). Over his career, he scored more than 1,000 goals, making him one of the top goal-scorers in the history of the sport.

Anita Roddick – 1942 – a British businesswoman and the founder of The Body Shop, a globally recognized ethical beauty brand. She opened the first Body Shop store in 1976 in Brighton, England.
