Martha Hyer – 1924 – an American actress. She also appeared in television shows such as “Perry Mason,” “The Twilight Zone” and “The Wild Wild West.”

Gus Mercurio – 1928 – an Australian actor best known for his roles in films such as “Crocodile Dundee” and “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome”.

Tom Laughlin – 1931 – an American actor best known for his portrayal of the character Billy Jack in a series of films “Billy Jack”. Laughlin also appeared in films such as “South Pacific” and “The Delicate Delinquent.”

Doyle Brunson – 1933 – an American professional poker player, considered one of the greatest poker players of all time. Kate O’Mara – 1939 – a British actress, known for her roles in television series such as “The Saint,” “The Avengers,” “Doctor Who” and soap opera “Dynasty.” O’Mara also appeared in several films including “The Vampire Lovers” and “The Horror of Frankenstein.”

Daniel Hugh Kelly – 1952 – an American actor, best known for his role as Mark Singleton in the soap opera “Ryan’s Hope.” He also appeared in many other television shows, including “Law & Order,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Blue Bloods”, as well as films such as “Cujo,” “Star Trek: Insurrection” and “Sleeping with the Enemy.”

What happened in history on August 10th?

1793 – The Louvre Museum opened in Paris. The Louvre is one of the world’s largest and most famous museums. Originally built as a fortress in the late 12th century, eventually becoming a museum in 1793 during the French Revolution. 1990 – The Magellan spacecraft arrived at Venus. The spacecraft orbited Venus for more than four years, and during that time it made detailed measurements of the planet’s surface features, including mountains, volcanoes and impact craters.

2003 – The first person to get married while in space. Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko married his fiancée Ekaterina Dmitrieva in a ceremony that took place while he was on board the International Space Station. The wedding ceremony was conducted via a video link and it was the first time that an official ceremony had been conducted between a person on Earth and someone in space.

2019 – Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender, was found dead in his jail cell. Epstein was being held in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors at the time of his death.
