1951 – The first NBA All-Star Game was played. The game took place at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts in front of 10,000 fans. East won 111-94.
1962 – Philadelphia center Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points, most ever by an NBA player in a single game, when Philadelphia Warriors beat the New York Knicks at the Hershey Sports Arena 169-147.
